We are all after the same goal, really. The needs of your 4 year old, the CMU athlete, and the grandfather at the soccer game are all the same. The many benefits of CrossFit: increased power, strength, cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, flexibility, stamina, coordination, agility, balance, and coordination are each important to the world’s best athletes AND our grandparents. Of course we don’t load a WR in the NFL with the same squatting load as Betsy from book club, but they both need to squat. Squatting is essential to maintaining functional independence and improving fitness. Our needs differ by degree, not kind.
NUTRITION CHALLENGE MEETING TONIGHT, 6PM! We will cover all guidelines to the upcoming 6-week challenge. Main things to know on how to get involved: There will be a $20 buy-in, winner takes the pot. The more participants, the sweeter the victory. We will perform a benchmark workout before and after, and the contest itself will be a point-based system.
