Rest day…. use today as a rest day if you are following the 3-on, 1-off template. If you’re not following that, you will use today as a day to make up one of the WOD’s from the previous three days or work on a skill or weakness….. or….. today Angelo will be starting his Olympic lifting class, along-side the Noon class and the 4:30 class. If you’d like to work on your Clean & Jerk and Snatch, make sure you swing by at one of those times today.

Justin will never forget his first CrossFit workout. It involved wall ball and bear crawls.

Do you have a workout, maybe your first one ever…. maybe not, that is forever imprinted in your memory?

I can remember doing “Badger” ( 3 RFT of 30 squat cleans @ 95#/65#, 30 pull-ups, 800M run) at CrossFit Agoge and on the 2nd run, I seriously contemplated running home instead of back to the gym, we only lived a couple miles away…. wondering if anyone would notice that I was missing….. of course, I didn’t, and never would…. but man, that workout will always be with me….

Workout 12.3 will be released tonight at 6pm. We will review movement standards, get our stage set, and hit it!!

  1. I Remeber Tyler showing up to our office with a lot of equipment and telling me were doing a WOD… good stuff, the most memorable was the run up a dirt hill to an overhead squat station back down to do air squats, I think it was like 5 rounds of pain… good luck to everyone competing tonight in WOD 12.3 of the open. I will be in Mn all week, I will give it hell.

  2. I was telling Amy about the first time I did the Angie WOD. It was the first one I did after the foundations class. She had me do half of it with all sorts of rubberbands. Chad and I did the workout together at the old gym and I was sore as hell afterwards. Fast forward a year and a half and Chad was the coach for this WOD, we have a much bigger gym to train in, and I did the the full WOD without bands. One things stayed the same though……. I am still sore as hell after doing the Angie WOD!!!

I’m having awful flashbacks from that dip at the old gym………… I swear gremlins lived in that hole and would grab my ankles when I would run by. I can’t tell you how many times I hit the deck going for a 400m run!

    GOOD TIMES!!!

  3. I wonder if Amy had told me that day that I would feel that way like three or four times a week if I would have just never come back. But all the positive people and great experiences have been totally worth it.
